2015 Foreign Funded Scholarships_Chulabhorn Graduate Institute

CHULABHORN GRADUATE INSTITUTE POST-GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2014-2015)


INTROUCTION:

The CGI is a multidisciplinary post-graduate academic institute established in 2005, under the initiative of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol. The aim of CGI is to employ the most recent interactive teaching techniques used in leading educational and research institutions to train students in the program to be effective thinkers and leaders in their fields of expertise, to better serve their countries’ needs towards sustainable development. The CGI is presently offering programs leading to a Post - Graduate Diploma, a Master’s degree and a Doctoral degree in Applied Biological Sciences: Environmental Health, Environmental Toxicology, and Chemical Biology.
This year, scholarships are available for applicants who are interested to pursue a Master’s Degree at the CGI. Selection of successful applicants will be based on merit.


  • Hold a Sixteen Years Bachelor’s Degree in science or related field with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 in one of the following fields:
  •      Sciences: Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology,Environmental Sciences
  •      Medical Sciences: Medicine, Medical Technology, Nursing
  •      Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Have at least 2 years work experiences in related field. Applicants with laboratory research experiences will receive favorable consideration;
  • Scholarships are open to the eligible applicants who is under 30 years of age;
  • Applicants must have demonstrated English proficiency, preferably on one of two recognized test of language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS);
  • Applicants must provide a statement of purpose explaining their interests in the study.

SCHOLARSHIP COVERAGE:

The scholarship will cover tuition and other academic fees, round trip airfare, accommodation allowance, monthly stipend, book allowance, health insurance and others.

The award is tenable for a period of 2 years, subject to an annual review of the scholar’s satisfactory progress.

  • Completly fill HEC Application Form (All the blanks should be filled. Percentage is mandatory to mention in all academic certificates/qualifications. (Click here to download)
  • Attach following documents with CGI Graduate Scholarship Application Form only in the order as mentioned against each:
  1. Copy of CNIC / Passport
  2. Attested Copies of Matric Certificate and DMC
  3. Attested Copies of FSC Certificate and DMC
  4. Attested Copies of Bachelor Degree and Transcripts
  5. Attested Copy of valid IELTS/TOEFL Score of Minimum 6.5 IELTS band/575 TOEFL.
  6. Original letter of two years relevant experience preferably laboratory research work.
  7. Medical and History and Report in Original (Click here to download the form)
  8. Attested Copy of Police Character Certificate

Note:  
  • All the above documents are mandatory to submit specially the documents mentioned at Serial No. 4 to 8.
  • Only Limited nominations on the basis of their overall academic scores and IELTS/TOEFL band will be sent for final selection.
  • Only the Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome by CGI authorities themselves.
  • No documents are to be attached with HEC Application form except the copy of CNIC.
