This role sits in Save the Children UK’s Policy and Advocacy Division, which is responsible for leading our influencing work both in the UK and around the world.
About the Role
This role will be working across two priority campaigns for Save the Children, No Child Born to Die and Action/2015.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting delivery of the NCBTD and Action/2015 campaigns
- Ensuring effective communications with stakeholders and driving delivery.Support management of strategic relationships across the campaigns.
- Develop and deliver effective, creative and inspiring campaigning tactics and strategies.
- Write materials to a high standard.
- Engage and motivate key campaigning networks
- Monitor and evaluate campaigning activity and contribute to organisational and team evaluation of campaigning.
- Advise on budget requirements, operate within the budget available and manage budgets, as required.
About You
You will be an experienced campaigner with a track record of campaigning success – particular in applying effective campaigning tactics, innovative digital campaigning and/or grassroots activities. You will also have:
- A strong understanding of news and PR, communications and lobbying tactics and advocacy approaches.
- The ability to develop, implement and manage projects, meeting deadlines when working under pressure.
- Excellent communications and writing skills, and an ability to tailor written and verbal communications to a wide range of different audiences
- Demonstrable understanding of the external environment and ability to assess trends and developments likely to affect campaigning.
- Experience of successfully working within budget constraints.
