An attractive place for a corporate team building event, Chicago’s Navy Pier –with more than 8 million visitors each year –  is a happening place to say the least.
During WWI, it housed several regiments of soldiers; during WWII, this was the place for pilot training orientation. After the war, Navy Pier served as a branch campus for the University of Illinois.
