Thomas Jefferson Memorial

The Jefferson Memorial was constructed to honor the third president of the United States. This memorial is host of many ceremonies including the Cherry Blossom Festival. The U.S honors him because he was a good person and a really intelligent one too. The Statue is made out of bronze it is nineteen feet tall and weights five tons. The most important change was in 1943 when they changed the plaster model statue to bronze. The sculptor was Rudolph Evans in 1941. It is maintained by the National Park Service.
The architects of this place were Daniel P. Higgins and Otto R. Eggers. It was a neoclassical art. It was designed in the purpose to look like a place in Italy. He loved Italy. What called most of my attention were the writings on the wall. I felt happy and proud; the writings were from the Declaration of Independence. I was also proud because I got to be on the memorial of one of the brightest men ever to have existed. I already knew that he was the third president. I learned that he could read in over six languages. He loved Italy the architecture and the art. He was the ambassador of the United States in France.
